SSMA Charter
To Retain, preserve and continue development of working waterfrontage and associated commercial and industrial marine activity in Botany Bay, Georges and Hacking Rivers.
To Represent members of marine association to local council, NSW Maritime, Environment Protection Authority and other relevant government authorities to protect and enhance rights, provide input on policy, regulation, infrastructure and marine services provision generally.
To actively Promote development of marine industry in the Shire as a growing employment provider and workplace trainer and for purposes of professional development of all members of the marine industry association.
To Position the Sutherland Shire as a centre of excellence for the provision of marine products and services. Specifically the association shall encourage cooperative practices and initiatives for the benefit of the association as a whole.
